Royal Jordanian is adding Tbilisi to its winter 2026/27 network, with a new weekly service from Amman City Airport (AMM) to Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) set to begin on 22 October 2026. The route will operate once a week on an Airbus A320neo, per schedule data published by AeroRoutes.
The launch gives travellers a new one-stop option between Jordan and Georgia without the need to connect through a European or Gulf hub. It also extends Royal Jordanian’s European reach at the start of the new winter schedule, alongside routes already announced for Vienna and other destinations.
Route details
The service departs Amman on a weekly frequency, with the first flight scheduled for 22 October 2026. Tbilisi International Airport serves the Georgian capital and is well connected to the city centre by metro and taxi. The A320neo is a single-aisle jet suited to the roughly three-hour sector between the two cities.
No codeshare or interline partnerships for this specific route have been confirmed at the time of writing. Travellers connecting beyond Tbilisi should check onward options separately.
Jordan’s expanding network
The Tbilisi launch follows a period of significant network expansion for Royal Jordanian. Earlier in 2026, the carrier added direct services to Dallas Fort Worth and a nonstop to Vienna, both aimed at widening access to Jordan from markets where tourism demand is growing.
For travellers arriving in Amman, Queen Alia International Airport is approximately 35 kilometres south of the city centre. Getting into Amman from the airport takes around 30 to 45 minutes by taxi, with fares typically running between 20 and 30 JOD depending on the time of day.
Visa requirements
Georgia citizens and many European and North American passport holders can enter Jordan on a visa on arrival at Queen Alia. The fee is currently 40 JOD for a single-entry visa; holders of the Jordan Pass receive the visa fee waived against the pass cost. Our Jordan visa guide covers current requirements by nationality and the Jordan Pass terms in detail.
Planning a trip around the new route
